Transform® Medicine

In the evolving landscape of healthcare, the call to modernize is louder than ever — and physicians are at the center of it. Yet, the essence of care must not be lost in the race toward efficiency. My father, an old-fashioned doctor who still makes house calls at 75, is a living example of how the heart of medicine is grounded in relationships, trust, and genuine connection. I’ve taken the best of that old-fashioned goodness and fused it with the tools and strategies that today’s modern doctors need to thrive.

Healthcare systems are pushing for streamlined operations, value-based management, and standardized processes. But in this shift, many doctors feel they are being reduced to technicians, losing the art of patient care. My approach is different. I believe that by healing doctors themselves, they will be empowered to embrace change, adapt to evolving systems, and become the modern physicians that today’s healthcare demands.

Why Modern Doctors Need Coaching:

  • Pivoting with Purpose: The shift to standardized care models can feel dehumanizing, but it doesn’t have to be. By focusing on wellness, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence, I equip doctors to see change as an opportunity, not a threat.

  • Building Resilience: Burnout rates are soaring, and doctors are struggling to keep up with the pace of new protocols and technologies. My coaching program helps them reconnect with their purpose, foster resilience, and navigate stress effectively.

  • Creating a New Narrative: Patients are more likely to trust systems and processes when doctors themselves believe in them. By aligning physician wellness with operational goals, we foster a culture where both patient outcomes and physician satisfaction thrive.

How I Help Doctors Pivot:

  1. Health and Wellness Coaching: Teaching physicians to prioritize their own health so they can better care for others.

  2. Mindset Training: Reframing how they view efficiency models, from a threat to an opportunity.

  3. Emotional Intelligence Development: Empowering them to connect with patients, even within standardized care frameworks.

  4. Communication Strategies: Cultivating transparency, empathy, and authenticity in patient interactions, making every encounter feel personal — even within a system-driven model.

The future of medicine is not about removing the human touch. It’s about redefining it. Let me show you how to modernize without losing what makes you a healer — your heart.

Join The Movement.

By joining hands with us on this wellness journey, you won't merely be facilitating a change. You will be the changelighting the path towards a healthier, happier healthcare system.

The current state of physician health leaves much room for improvement. Physicians, the very individuals who dedicate their lives to healing others, often neglect their own well-being— a reality that has been exacerbated in recent times. The demanding nature of their profession often results in long hours, burnout, and stress-related illnesses.

In fact, research highlights that physicians are more likely to face mental health issues, including depression and anxiety, compared to the general population.

This prevailing situation is not sustainable and calls for immediate attention and action. It's time we shift our focus to the caregivers themselves, ensuring that they are equipped with the tools and resources necessary for maintaining their health and overall well-being. The burden of physician burnout extends beyond the individual, impacting the healthcare system at large. Financially, the cost of physician burnout is staggering.

Estimates point to a cost of approximately $4.6 billion per year resulting from physician turnover and reduced clinical hours, attributable to burnout in the United States alone.

Furthermore, high levels of burnout have been linked to increased rates of medical errors, which in turn trigger malpractice claims, and lead to a decrease in patient satisfaction and adherence to treatment plans. This creates a vicious cycle, intensifying the strain on the healthcare system and further exacerbating physician burnout.

By investing in physician well-being, we can break this cycle, reducing costs, and improving the quality of care. Together, we can create a healthier, more sustainable future for our healthcare system.

The result is a customized program tailored specifically to your team's needs, one that will initiate a profound shift in your organization. This approach ensures that every aspect of your team's wellness is addressed, resulting in a healthier, happier workforce and driving improvements across all facets of your healthcare system.

Ease of Use for Busy Physicians.

For our physicians to seamlessly access their personalized wellness content, we have developed a dedicated app. This custom app serves as a hub for all their Continuing Medical Education programming, providing a convenient, easy-to-navigate platform at their fingertips. It is our belief that accessibility and convenience are paramount to fostering consistent engagement and commitment to our program.

In addition to this, we understand the power of a multi-faceted approach to transformation. Therefore, our strategy integrates live and written coaching sessions with robust community support. This harmonious blend of resources creates a well-rounded, fully supportive environment for our physicians to embark on their wellness journey.

Program Length.

This transformation is not a quick fix; it is a gradual, yet profound process that unfolds over a period of six months. We firmly believe in allowing adequate time for our physicians to internalize and implement the wellness strategies, thus facilitating sustainable, long-lasting change. Through this thoughtfully paced approach, we empower our physician community to take charge of their well-being, catalyzing a paradigm shift that echoes throughout our entire healthcare system.

Coaching is Evidence Based.

Our physician coaching program is grounded in evidence-based practices, rooted in rigorous research and scientific data. This commitment to evidence-based methodology ensures that our strategies and interventions are not only effective, but are also reliable and reproducible. From mindfulness techniques to cognitive-behavioral strategies, each element of our program is backed by science, substantiating the transformative power of our approach. By integrating these evidence-based practices into our wellness program, we are able to effect meaningful, sustainable change, demonstrating the profound impact of a scientifically informed approach to physician wellness.

Psychiatry led Mental & Emotional Health Curriculum.

Our comprehensive health and wellness program covers a broad spectrum of mental health strategies, meticulously grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This evidence-based approach helps our physicians identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, fostering a healthier outlook and improved coping skills. To complement this, we also incorporate emotional health strategies derived from the teachings of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). This equips our doctors with the tools to regulate their emotions, manage stress, and improve their relationships, leading to enhanced emotional resilience. All these strategies are structured and supervised by our on-staff psychiatrist, ensuring that the program is robust, effective, and perfectly tailored to the unique needs of our physicians. By integrating these proven therapeutic methods, we aim to create a comprehensive wellness landscape that promotes the total health of our doctors, ultimately leading to more sustainable and fulfilling medical practices.

Obesity Medicine led Physical Health Curriculum.

Our program also places a high emphasis on physical health, incorporating both nutrition and exercise strategies into our comprehensive approach. We understand that physicians operate on a tight schedule; hence, all our workouts are designed to be brief yet effective, lasting only 30 minutes. But we believe that physical wellness extends beyond mere physicality. To foster a holistic approach, each exercise session also includes a mindset topic, ensuring that while our physicians are moving their bodies, they're also gaining valuable insights and inspiration. Our program is led by our in-house obesity medicine doctor, a professional who brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. Over the past seven years, her programs have been utilized by many physicians, leading to significant improvements in their overall health and well-being. This strategic incorporation of physical health bolsters the efficacy of our wellness program, providing our physicians with a well-rounded, comprehensive toolkit for improved health.

Change the Culture of Medicine.

Anticipating the transformative impact of our wellness program, you can expect to witness a paradigm shift within your health system. A shift towards healthier, happier physicians who have effectively combated burnout and are brimming with renewed vitality and enthusiasm. These highly-motivated individuals will not only enhance their own lives but also inspire their peers, fostering a more supportive and productive work environment. They will rise as leaders in your organization, their wellness journey serving as an emblem of resilience and renewal.

Massive Action.

Studies have consistently indicated that many physicians lack confidence when discussing aspects of nutrition and exercise with their patients. This is a concerning trend, given that these are key elements of preventative care and overall wellbeing.

Transform, with its comprehensive and practical approach, specifically addresses this educational gap. By providing thorough instruction on nutrition, exercise, and the mental facets of lifestyle changes, Transform empowers doctors to confidently guide their patients towards healthier habits.

This not only ensures well-rounded patient care but also drives a shift in our healthcare system, promoting a 'prevention over cure' approach. The program stands as a testament to the potential of education in transforming healthcare by empowering physicians to empower their patients.

The ripple effect of this transformation will permeate every layer of your health system, fostering a culture change characterized by prioritization of wellness and prevention of burnout.

This shift won't be confined to your organization alone; rather, it will set a precedent, inciting a broader change in the culture of medicine at large.
