Hi, I’m Your Coach, Dr. Ali.
I work with you the way I know you work with your patients:
intuitively, intentionally, and with a whole lot of heart.
My journey into medicine — and into healing — started when I was just six years old, struggling with weight, body image, and the exhausting noise of diet culture. Like so many women, I grew up learning to disconnect from my body. And like so many physicians, I learned to override stress, push through pain, and put everyone else first.
I didn’t know it then, but I was living in a state of chronic nervous system activation—surviving, achieving, succeeding… and silently breaking down inside.
Over time, and through many missteps, I found another way.
I released over 60 pounds and — more importantly — I found a relationship with food, movement, and myself that has lasted over 22 years.
And I didn’t do it through punishment or control.
I did it through regulation, reconnection, and repair.
That lived experience, combined with my training as a physician, Division 1 athlete, and certified nutrition and exercise strategist, gave me something I never expected:
A calling to care for women doctors the way we deserve to be cared for—from the nervous system out.
